Socialism and true Christianity

In my neighborhood, there is a diner called the “Morning Glory”. During my Christian cafe ministries days I used to eat breakfast there a lot. The food was good the price was fare, and the atmosphere was quiet and peaceful. From that time till now it has totally transformed into a leftist propaganda hub. The once pretty decor has given violent expressions of Marxist ideologies. I have not eaten there for quite sometime. However I do pass by it quite often. I read the hate on the widows signs and pray with a grieved spirit.

A few days ago the “Morning Glory” displayed a sign stating that true Christians are socialist. This is so erroneous that I had to write about it. I do not agree with this concept of Christianity, even though I understand where idea originates. In younger days in the visual arts, I was being groomed to be a messenger of secular humanism, that era ended suddenly when I was transformed by an encounter with the risen Christ. Being that in reference to Christianity and Socialism I literally walked both sides of the fence. This intern makes me uniquely qualified to write on this subject. Socialism and real Christianity do not mix at all. It is like mixing apples and oranges.

Being a Christian involves committing your heart and mind to living according to the example of life set forth by Jesus himself. The Lord sought the father continuously did only what he saw the Father do and spoke only what he heard the Father say. Jesus died because he would not deviate from the way of the father. All Jesus had to do to avoid the cross was to compromise and cater to established order. The Lord’s commitment was to a government beyond this world, which has jurisdiction over the entire universe, and everything in creation. To walk with Christ you must walk the same path he walked. Christians live for a kingdom that is not of this world, and according ethics and values of a world yet to come. Christ himself establishes what is right and wrong in our live, and not any man made rules or political ideologies. This is in total conflict to socialism.

In socialism the role of God is taken up by the state which governs what is right and wrong. Any religious organization under socialism is force to comply with the state or be destroyed. This is the ideologies of Nazi Germany and the former USSR. Both of these systems were destroyed by God because they persecuted those of faith.
